House of representatives aspirant for Dekina/Bassa federal constituency, Comrade Johnson Musa has condemned the violent invasion of Ojuwo-Oganigu by the dreaded fulani herdsmen.
In a chat with media men on Wednesday, Musa said the violent invasion resulted in killing of 7 persons and destruction of properties worth millions of Naira.
He challenge Governor Yahaya Bello to tell Kogi people whether his romance with Fulani herdsmen has yielded any positive results.
"The good people of Dekina local government are very accommodating and hospitable but these attributes should not be mistaken for weakness by the dreaded Fulani herdsmen.
"In the interim, Kogi State government should set up committee to ascertain the damages done to our people and compensate them as appropriate," he said.
While questioning to need to continued co-habitation with fulani herdsmen, Musa called on security agencies to fish out the perpetrators of the attack within the shortest period of time.
He urged the community to be vigilant and avoid being taken unawares in the future.
