Former Governor of Niger state, Babangida Aliyu has said that for Kogi to regain her lost glory from the current maladministration, the people of the state should embrace and resolve to pick Dr Omede Idris as the consensus governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Aliyu made this statement at merit house in Abuja during the 2017 convention of PDP professional and business group.
He said the choice of Omede Idris before Kogians is to reduce, to the barest minimum, any idea of dissipating needless energies that may create bad blood among party members.
The chief servant described the current APBN president as a fine gentleman ,a party man, a loyalist with untainted records of proven integrity having served the country both at national and state levels with unparalleled achievements on any giving assignment.
He advised Kogians to tap from the blessings of God by providence and political exigency, saying the coincidence of Ibrahim Idris, Wada Idris and now the clamour for Omede Idris as the next governor as a clear project that involved divine and God's decision.
Babangida Aliyu urged Kogians to take their destinies in their own hands, especially in the face of the harrowing experience from the APC-led government in Kogi state.
